A 26-year-old woman crashed in a stolen car while fighting with the owner in Miami-Dade County, deputies said.
According to a deputy’s arrest report, LS stole the car on Sunday at the parking lot of a food store in the Brownsville neighborhood.
“It wasn’t me; it was another girl wearing the same clothing,” S said before running away, according to a deputy’s arrest report.
The victim parked his 2016 Toyota Tundra at 5008 NW 32 Ave., and his doors were unlocked when S quickly got in, according to deputies.
S managed to put the Toyota Tundra in reverse while the victim “was hanging from the running boards,” according to deputies.
“The victim … managed to partially be inside of his vehicle because he left the driver-side window half open,” a deputy wrote. “The victim said that he was trying to gain control of the steering wheel.”
S ran over a white fence in front of a home across the street, crashed two parked cars, and kicked and punched the victim, according to the deputy’s report.
“He finally forcibly placed the shifter in park, opened the driver side door,” the deputy wrote, adding that he pushed S out, according to the report.
Records show deputies arrested S at about 7:05 p.m., at Northwest 49 Street and 32 Avenue, and correctional deputies booked her after 1:10 a.m., on Monday, at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
S faced charges of carjacking, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest without violence. Carjacking is a non-bondable offense. Her bond for the other two charges was $3,000.
