Woman dies, 5 others seriously hurt after multi-vehicle crash in southeast Gainesville

A 35-year-old woman is dead and five other people are seriously hurt after a two-vehicle crash in Gainesville Wednesday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the 35-year-old woman was exiting Boulware Springs Park and approaching Southeast 15th Street at around 8:30 p.m.

An 18-year-old man was driving his sedan south on Southeast 15th Street. As the 35-year-old woman was trying to turn onto Southeast 15th Street, the two cars collided. The 35-year-old woman died at the scene.

The 18-year-old man and the four other passengers in their vehicle all suffered serious injuries.
