Woman dies after crashing car into back of cement truck on Florida’s Turnpike

A woman died Monday morning after she crashed her Hyundai sedan into the back of a cement truck in the northbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike in Miami-Dade County, authorities confirmed.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alex Camacho, the crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m. near Northwest 74th Street.

Camacho said the driver of the Hyundai was transported to a nearby hospital where she died.

Three lanes were closed during the investigation.

No other details were immediately released.
