Woman dies after getting shot in Lauderhill, driving herself to hospital

Lauderhill police are searching for the shooter who killed a woman Thursday night.

According to police, officers responded to the 3400 block of Northwest Seventh Street at about 9 p.m. after receiving reports about a shooting.

Police said officers found multiple shell casings at the scene.

Broward Sheriff’s Office dispatch then advised officers that a woman suffering from gunshot wounds had driven herself to HCA Florida Plantation Emergency Hospital for treatment, however, she died shortly after arriving.

Police said the motive for the shooting remains unknown and there are no known suspects at this time.
