An Englewood woman was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle collision, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Investigators say an eastbound SUV driven by a 73-year-old Englewood man was stopped at the stop sign on Oceanspray Boulevard, at the intersection with Spinnaker Boulevard at about 8:30 a.m.
A second SUV was entering the intersection at the same time, troopers say. The SUV on Oceanspray hit the right rear of the other vehicle, causing it to overturn.
The driver of the second SUV, a 55-year-old woman, was ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene, troopers said.
The investigation is continuing.
