The Polk County Sheriff’s Office investigated a fatal crash on Friday night.

According to PCSO, Shannon Lally, 33, was doing a U-turn in the intersection to go the other way on Melody Lane after picking her daughter up from the school bus stop when a motorcycle that was heading west on Deen Still crashed into her.

Lally told deputies she checked both ways before making a U-turn and did not see anyone.

Matthew Goodman, 44, suffered serious injuries, and later died at the hospital. No one in the Mustang was injured.
