The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman and dog were injured after a car crashed into a home in Largo Monday afternoon.
The crash happened at around 2 p.m. near Oak Ridge Wesleyan Church on 110th Avenue North
An 87-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Camry through the church parking lot. FHP said she intended to stop, but instead accelerated and crashed into a neighboring home.
The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital. One resident inside the home was unharmed, but a dog in the home was injured and taken to a local veterinarian.
