A woman was hit by a car Tuesday night along Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa, according to police.
The crash happened at about 10 p.m. in the 1700 block of East Hillsborough Avenue, police said.
Police said the woman who was hit was taken to a hospital with “significant” injuries. The driver remained at the scene.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
No other details were immediately available.
