A shooting in Pompano Beach sent a woman to the hospital on Sunday morning.
It happened just before 8:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Northwest 14th Street.
Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Carey Codd said the woman is expected to survive.
On Sunday afternoon, deputies announced the arrest of a suspect, identified as Edward Wiggins.
Wiggins, 50, faces charges of attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Authorities didn’t immediately provide information about an alleged motive.
Wiggins was not yet listed in BSO jail records as of Sunday afternoon.
