A woman was killed while sleeping underneath a box trailer of a landscaping truck.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO), on October 24 at about 6:58 a.m., near Northwest 15th Place. Investigators say, the victim had crawled underneath a box trailer of a landscaping truck the night before.
Detectives say as the driver, a landscaping employee, moved the truck from its parking space, it ran over the victim.
BSO deputies and the Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced the woman dead.
Investigators ruled out excessive speed, mechanical failure, and driver impairment as contributing factors.
