An 18-year-old Lehigh Acres woman was pronounced dead on the scene of a North Fort Myers crash Saturday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the young woman was driving east on Bayshore Road at around 11:25 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle.

The car veered off the roadway, rotated, and collided with a tree.

The back end of the vehicle detached during the collision, striking an unoccupied SUV parked in the driveway at 1414 Lincoln Avenue.
