Woman killed in Polk County crash with tractor-trailer

 A 29-year-old Haines City woman was killed Friday night in a crash with a tractor-trailer in Polk County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 10:40 p.m. on Bannon Island Road near Detour Road.

According to FHP, the 29-year-old woman did not stop at a stop sign on Bannon Island Road and collided with the tractor-trailer that was heading south on Detour Road.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
