Woman killed in wrong-way crash on US-192 in Brevard County

A 73-year-old woman was killed in a wrong-way crash in Brevard County, troopers say.

It happened just after 8 p.m. on Tuesday night on US-192.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the 73-year-old woman was driving the wrong-way on the westbound side of US-192 approaching Bumpy Road when she hit another vehicle.

The woman’s car then flipped and stopped on the right shoulder. The 73-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car that was hit, a 24-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

It is unclear why the woman was driving the wrong-way.

The crash is under investigation.
