A woman was shot on Saturday in Oakland Park, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies and Oakland Park Fire Rescue responded to reports of a shooting near the 4000 block of Northeast Eighth Avenue.
After arriving, deputies said they found the woman suffering from gunshot wounds, and she was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
They said BSO’s Violent Crimes Unit detectives are investigating the case. Preliminary investigations suggest that this may be a domestic incident.
