Woman shot, killed her husband in bedroom of Lake County home, deputies say.

A woman is accused of shooting and killing her 40-year-old husband inside their Florida home, according to sheriff’s officials.

The fatal shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Sunday on Lake Ralph Drive in Clermont.

According to an arrest affidavit, Maria Rodriguez, 40, shot her husband, Andrew Rodriguez, multiple times in their bedroom.

Someone in the home called 911 and said Maria Rodriguez “had not been feeling good” and family members in the house were keeping her from going back into the bedroom after she shot Andrew Rodriguez, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit said the caller saw the victim go into the bedroom followed by Maria Rodriguez and then heard multiple gunshots.

“He stated that the defendant exited the room with a notebook in her hand, and she was stating how important the notebook was,” the affidavit reads.

A witness said Maria Rodriguez was “acting strange and was talking about having premonitions,” but to his knowledge Maria Rodriguez did not have any medical health concerns.

Maria Rodriguez was booked into the Lake County jail and faces a charge of first-degree murder.

No other details have been released.
