The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said HM, 61, was stabbed in the chest and killed by his fiancée during a “heated argument” at a hotel in Kissimmee.
Documents show that M’s fiancée, JG, was 30 years younger than him.
The stabbing occurred at the Westgate Vacation Villas on July 19.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting the stabbing. The man who had been stabbed was identified as Mundy upon law enforcement’s arrival.
M was transported to Celebration Hospital in an ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead.
G said the two of them had been involved in a heated argument, and claimed she was holding the knife to her fiancé as a form of self-defense.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Forensic Units were dispatched to the scene to continue investigating the incident.
According to the arrest report, four young children were in the room when deputies arrived at the scene.
“We know that they were there, we know that at some point they saw something. And again, the mental stress being put on them to be part of this situation, said Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Kim Montes. “Those children came here with two people on vacation. Two adults and now they don’t have either one.”
The Homicide Unit obtained an arrest warrant for G the next day.
G is charged with second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence. She has been booked into the Osceola County jail.
