Woman sues Ocala homeowner after three dogs attack her during neighborhood walk

An Ocala woman claims she was severely injured and disfigured after she was allegedly attacked and bitten by three dogs while walking her own pet down a residential street.

B filed the lawsuit against dog owner Katey M in the Fifth Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County on September 16.

According to the complaint, V was walking her dog on June 8, 2025, when she was suddenly and without warning attacked by three dogs owned by M.

The lawsuit identifies the three animals as two tan-and-white pit bull-type dogs named “Bobo” and “Reba,” and one black-and-tan mixed breed dog named “Crooke.”

The filing states that M’s dogs possessed known vicious propensities and were roaming free or uncontrolled when they charged B.

During the encounter, one of the dogs latched onto B, inflicting a deep, severe bite wound to the back of her left thigh.

The lawsuit alleges M is liable for the attack under Florida Statutes Sections 767.04 and 767.01 for failing to properly secure or restrain the animals.

As a direct result of the attack, B claims she suffered permanent bodily injury, physical disfigurement, severe physical pain, mental anguish, physical impairment, and ongoing medical and hospital expenses.

The lawsuit does not list the specific street or neighborhood where the alleged attack occurred.

B is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and has demanded a trial by jury.
