A possible hazmat situation led to a heavy law enforcement presence in downtown West Palm Beach on Tuesday evening.

A fire rescue personnel told to CBS12 News that a person was working inside a vacant store at 528 Clematis Street when they were suddenly overcome by carbon monoxide.

The fire rescue personnel said that the person went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident led to the area being taped off as West Palm Beach police officers and firefighters responded to the scene. A patrol car was seen blocking the road.
