WPB attempted murder suspect, “who are you looking at?”

A West Palm Beach man is accused of attempted homicide after deputies say he shot at a Shell gas station cashier for refusing his service.

According to Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO), on Sunday, January 19, the cashier of a shell gas station at 242 S. Congress Ave in West Palm Beach refused to sell the suspected gunman, GI, 34, and his girlfriend a pack of ‘dutches’ or tobacco cigarillos, due to a previous incident. The gas station employee told deputies he previously advised Iglesias that he was not allowed to come back to the business or be inside the store.

Around 10 p.m., I returned to the store to taunt the store owner by walking in and out of the store. The store clerk told deputies he asked, “Dude why do you keep walking in and outta my store?” I responded, “Who are you laughing at?” to which the victim responded, “I’m laughing at you!”

As the gas station worker was preparing to close the store at 10 p.m., I’ brother came into the gas station to buy a pack of Newport cigarettes, according to the criminal probable cause affidavit.

The gas station worker was picked up by his girlfriend after work with their child in the backseat, per PBSO.

As he’s sitting at a red light at the intersection of Ranch House Road and S. Congress Ave, deputies say he sees I am walking from the bushes of the Shell Gas station. When the light turned green he began running after the vehicle.

At that point, he told PBSO he looked back and saw I am holding a gun and a flash coming from the muzzle of the gun. According to reports, I put his hands up and then placed the firearm on his waistband before running away.

Just before pulling over to call 911, the victim saw I am running, to which he yelled out “I’m on the f*****g phone with the cops!” According to the affidavit, I ran behind the Ultra Gentlemen’s Club parking lot with another unknown male after fleeing the scene.

After reviewing surveillance footage, deputies say they matched the suspect to I, who has previous booking photos for felonies including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and tampering with a victim or witness in a case.

Deputies say they showed the victim I’ booking photo at which time he confirmed that they were a match.

Based on the victim’s testimony, deputies booked I on charges of attempted 1st-degree murder with a firearm and felon in possession of a firearm.
