Two drivers are hospitalized with serious injuries after colliding head-on Friday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
At 5:02 a.m., troopers said a 21-year-old Winter Haven man in a Ford F150 was traveling in the wrong direction in the eastbound lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard.
At the same time, a 48-year-old Illinois man in a Chrysler Pacifica was traveling east in the eastbound lanes on the same road.
Officials said at the intersection of Rhodes Road, the two vehicles collided head-on.
Both drivers were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
No further details on the crash have been released.
