A 71-year-old Zephyrhills man was killed Wednesday evening after his motorcycle crossed into oncoming traffic and collided nearly head-on with an SUV, according to authorities.
The fatal crash occurred on January 14, 2026, at approximately 7:09 p.m. on Otis Allen Road, just west of Old Lakeland Highway.
Investigators say the man was operating a Suzuki motorcycle eastbound on Otis Allen Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, crossed the centerline, and struck a Lincoln SUV traveling westbound.
The SUV was driven by a 47-year-old Ridge Manor woman, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No further details have been released.
