The St. Petersburg Police Department responded to a shooting at the 800 block of 14th Ave S in St. Pete just before midnight.
According to officers, the incident began as an altercation between two groups outside a duplex.
The altercation led to two people being shot. One person was taken to a nearby hospital, and another person was found dead inside the home.
According to officers, investigators determined the two men were shot during a home invasion robbery.
