1 person in serious condition after I-75 crash in Pembroke Pines

 A two-vehicle crash on the northbound entrance ramp to Interstate 75 at Pines Boulevard left one person in critical condition Sunday, according to Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue.

Crews responded to the scene Sunday night and found two heavily damaged vehicles involved in the crash. One person was found unresponsive and trapped inside one of the vehicles, authorities said.

Firefighters quickly worked to safely free the individual from the wreckage. The patient was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition, officials said.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
