One person was sent to a hospital after a crash involving a bicyclist and an SUV driver in Palm Harbor on Friday morning.

Palm Harbor Fire Rescue said the crash happened at the intersection of Belcher Road and Colonial Boulevard.

The person sent to the hospital was listed as a trauma alert with possible life-threatening injuries.

Traffic was down to one lane in both directions around noon on Friday due to the crash.

Details about the bicyclist and the SUV driver were not immediately available.

Photos from the scene showed firefighters assisting someone on a stretcher.

A 15-year-old bicyclist was hurt in a crash at the same intersection earlier this month, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

In the Oct. 6 crash, a pickup truck driver hit the bicyclist as the rider entered the intersection, FHP said.
