1 teen killed, another injured in late-night shooting in Tampa

The Tampa Police Department said it is investigating after a shooting late Friday night that left one teen dead and another injured.

Gunfire was reported in the 800 block of E 114th Ave at around 11:30 p.m., TPD said. Officers arrived to find two victims in their late teens with gunshot wounds.

One of the teens was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said this does not appear to be a random incident and are asking anyone with information about this case to contact the Tampa Police Department at 813.231.6130 and refer to report 25-711325.

This is a developing story.
