10-year-old in stable condition after being struck by vehicle in Coral Springs

 Police responded to an area near a Coral Springs school after reports of a 10-year-old child being struck by a vehicle.

The incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday along Sample Road and Northwest 110th Avenue as the child was heading to school. After the child was hit, they were airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center.

According to Coral Springs Fire Rescue, the child is in stable condition.

The driver stayed on the scene. It is unclear if any charges will be filed.
