A 20-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting in Bunnell Saturday night, according to the Bunnell Police Department.

Police said around 10:25 p.m., officers and deputies responded to a report of a man shot on E. Drain Street. When they arrived, they rendered life-saving measures to the man while securing the area for medical responders to arrive.

The victim was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries by the TraumaOne South helicopter based in St. Augustine, police said.

Early investigation indicates a fight broke out on South Anderson Street, and soon after, shots were fired and several people ran away or left in their cars, according to police.

It is not clear if the gunshot victim was involved in the fight or if he was an intended target of the shooting.

The last update from police indicated the man was in critical condition.
