Pedestrian hit, killed on Normandy Boulevard

A pedestrian was killed after he was hit by an SUV on Normandy Boulevard Saturday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A silver SUV was traveling in the left lane westbound on Normandy Blvd, east of Blair Road, around 11:56 p.m., when a pedestrian entered the road from the center grass median directly in front of the vehicle, according to the FHP incident report.

The SUV struck the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The male pedestrian has not been identified.
