A motorcyclist has died following a crash on Friday morning near State Road 417 on Landstar Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. as an 18-year-old man driving a 2019 Subaru Impreza was traveling northbound on Landstar Boulevard approaching SR-417. A 2007 KTM motorcycle was traveling southbound on Landstar Boulevard at the same time.
Investigators said the Subaru made a left turn into the motorcycle’s path. The right side of the car struck the motorcycle, troopers say.
The motorcyclist, a 20-year-old man from Kissimmee, was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center in critical condition and died shortly after from his injuries.
The driver of the Subaru, an 18-year-old man from Orlando, was not injured and stayed at the scene.
All lanes of Landstar Boulevard have since reopened.
The crash is under investigation.
