22-year-old killed in motorcycle crash in Brevard County

A 22-year-old Merritt Island man died Monday night in a motorcycle crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 11:40 p.m. on the eastbound ramp to State Road 404.

The man on a 2015 BMW motorcycle was traveling north on U.S. 1 when he ran off the roadway, troopers said.

The crash report said the motorcycle then overturned, causing the man to fall off.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The report said he was wearing a helmet.

An investigation is ongoing.
