A 24-year-old man was killed in a fiery, head-on crash with a semi-truck on SR-50 in Groveland, FHP says.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 24-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on SR-50 just before 10:30 on Sunday night when he missed a curve near Sloans Ridge Rd. Troopers say the car then crossed into the westbound lanes, directly into the path of an oncoming semi-truck.
The two vehicles collided head-on, causing the 24-year-old man’s car to become partially engulfed in flames.
