A 27-year-old Riviera Beach man was killed Saturday after the car he was working on fell and crushed him.
Officers with the Riviera Beach Police Department say they were called to 360 W 27 Street at 10:30 p.m. after the couple who live in the unit behind his home found the victim and called 911.
The couple reported last seeing their neighbor working on the car in the driveway around 4 p.m.
When they returned to the driveway around 10 p.m., they found him motionless underneath the car and screamed for help, per RBPD.
Officers say firefighters arrived on scene shortly after and lifted the 2015 Kia Optima off of him.
An investigation revealed the victim was working underneath the passenger’s side front tire of the car, which was jacked up on the sloped driveway, when it fell on top of him.
