3 people treated after fire breaks out at high-rise condo in North Miami Beach

Three people were treated after a fire broke out at a high-rise condominium building in North Miami Beach Friday night.

Video showed heavy flames shooting out of a sixth-floor unit of the 10-story building in the area of Northeast 166th Street and 35th Avenue.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said crews responded to the building around 6:45 p.m. and were able to quickly attack and extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to other apartments.

Three people were treated at the scene and released, while firefighters stayed to ventilate smoke from the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
