Several people were hospitalized after two cars crashed into the front yard of a North Miami home on Friday.
The crash happened on Northwest 10th Avenue and 125th Street.
Footage from Chopper6 showed two cars that had slammed into the front yard gate.
Miami-Dade Fire officials said they responded to a possible pedestrian hit and that they transported four people to trauma centers.
The extent of their injuries was unknown. There was no information on what led up to the crash.
Lousi Lubin was inside his house Friday afternoon when he heard a loud noise.
“It was a boom, it was a boom,” Lubin said.
When Lubin looked out his window, he saw two cars outside his house.
“One was right here, and the other one was in my yard,” Lubin said. “I was kind of upset.”
Lubin showed NBC6 the damage outside his home. One car went through the fence.
He said, unfortunately, it’s not the first accident outside his house or the first time a car ended up in his yard.
“I’ve been living in that house since 1981, and I can’t tell you how many times they got my fence. One day, a pickup truck stopped right under my window,” Lubin said. “I would say six or seven times they break the fence.”
At one point, he brought his concerns to the mayor and the city put two more stop signs at the intersection. Years later, it’s still a problem he doesn’t know how to fix.
“They did the best they could by putting four stop signs; they thought it would stop that from happening, but it happens all the time,” Lubin said.
