70-year-old man dies, woman seriously injured after crash in Ocala

 A 70-year old man is dead and a 70-year-old woman is seriously injured after being hit by a pickup truck on State Road 200.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say the the man and woman were attempting to make a left turn onto Southwest 103rd Street Road when the pickup truck, coming from the opposite direction and failed to stop at a red light.

The truck struck the passenger side of the man and woman’s vehicle before coming to a stop.

The 70-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital and the 70-year-old woman is in the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the truck received minor injuries.
