A 9-year-old female bicyclist was seriously injured Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle in Collier County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz being driven by a 65-year-old female was stopped at the intersection of Radio Road and Madison Park Boulevard.

They add that the 9-year-old was crossing the westbound lanes of Radio Road on the crosswalk, continued across the median, and attempted to cross the eastbound lanes at the same intersection.
