A 19-year-old Jacksonville man was struck and killed Wednesday morning while walking in Clay County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said a 57-year-old woman was driving a pickup truck on US 17 near JP Hall Boulevard in Green Cove Springs around 8 a.m. when the man walked into her northbound lane.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating, FHP said.
The unidentified man was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Lanes were closed during the investigation.
No other details were immediately available.
