A fire broke out at an apartment building in Escambia County on Thursday night.

Escambia County Fire Rescue was on scene of the incident at 200 E 10 Mile Road. Fire units were working to extinguish the hot spots around 8:30 p.m.

Six apartment units were impacted. Red Cross was notified to assist the 11 occupants who are now displaced.

They say at least one person was injured. However, they refused transportation after inspected by EMS.
