A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Pasco County on Saturday evening, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
At around 10:05 p.m., a Buick Century, driven by a 30-year-old Holiday man, was traveling eastbound on Plathe Road.
A 58-year-old New Port Richey man was walking east of Acropolis Lane “in or across the roadway” and was struck by the Buick.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. The driver of the Buick was not injured.
FHP said while they are still investigating the crash, at this time it does not appear that the driver will be charged with anything.
