Honduran man arrested after crashing into barricade outside NAS Pensacola

 A 34-year-old Honduran man is facing multiple charges after crashing into a barricade outside NAS Pensacola last Sunday.

OMGH is charged in federal court with:

  • Illegally Entering a Military, Naval, or Coast Guard Property
  • Resisting or Impeding Arrest of a Federal Officer

The charges were announced by the Northern District of Florida.

According to the authorities, GH crashed into a barricade outside a checkpoint at the gate of NAS Pensacola and then ran from military forces onto the base to escape capture.

“GH was ultimately caught at gunpoint after a foot pursuit,” a release states.

If convicted, GH faces up to 1.5 years in prison and deportation from the United States.
