Electric car fire under investigation in Escambia County

Escambia County Fire Rescue responded to an electric car fire on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred on the 900 block of Jordan Street at approximately 4:20 a.m., when the car was found fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze by 4:36 a.m., according to officials.

The State Fire Marshal’s office has been notified and is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the response.

No further details have been released.
