The Florida Highway Patrol plans to shut down southbound Interstate 95 heading into downtown Miami on Thursday morning..
The closure, troopers said, is part of a “follow-up investigation for a fatal crash” from Tuesday.
I-95 will close at Northwest Eighth Street for around an hour and a half beginning at 10 a.m., troopers said.
Drivers will be detoured onto Northwest Third Court and can reenter the highway at Northwest Second Street.
“Drivers should expect delays and, if possible, seek alternative routes,” officials said. “Please drive carefully and follow posted detours.”
Ramps to the Dolphin Expressway and Interstate 395 will remain open.
