A man is accused of DUI after his truck nosedived into a retention pond on Wednesday.

According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO), Corey Howard of Homestead got behind the wheel drunk and drove into a pond.

Deputies say it wasn’t just any pond– it was the one directly behind a sheriff’s office Traffic Division substation in Palm City.

H, 34, was booked on counts of DUI, DUI with property damage, and failure to register a motor vehicle.
