Worker killed in industrial accident involving concrete block machine in Palm Beach County

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and the West Palm Beach Fire Department responded to an industrial accident late Thursday morning.

Shortly after 11 a.m., units were dispatched to the 1900 block of Skees Road following reports of a technical rescue. Upon arrival, first responders discovered that an individual had been involved in a serious accident with a machine used to stack and cube large quantities of concrete blocks.

Paramedics pronounced the worker dead at the scene.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the preliminary investigation into the incident.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
