A person was taken to the hospital Thursday night after falling from a Jeep in an East Naples neighborhood, prompting an investigation by deputies.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at 8:23 p.m. near Horseshoe Drive North and Airport-Pulling Road North.
Deputies were in the area when they say a person fell from a moving Jeep. They were transported to the hospital as a trauma alert.
The driver of the Jeep was inititally detained and the vehicle involved was investigated and towed away. Deputies also went door to door speaking with neighbors.
The man who was handcuffed was later released, but CCSO has not said why he was detained or what led to the fall.
No charges have been announced, and investigators have not released the condition of the person who was injured.
