Bradenton man accused of beating his girlfriend to death

Bradenton man accused of beating his girlfriend to death

A Bradenton man was arrested after killing his girlfriend, the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office announced.

On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, around 8 a.m., deputies responded to a call regarding an unconscious woman in a vehicle at 2124 30th Avenue East in Bradenton.

According to MCSO, EMS arrived and found YM, 34, unresponsive in the passenger seat of a black Dodge Charger.

M was found with significant injuries, including swelling in her face. She was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died on April 11.

MCSO said M suffered a traumatic brain injury, facial fractures, and other extensive internal injuries.

On April 14, the medical examiner ruled her death a homicide, saying blunt force trauma to the head and face were consistent with a prolonged, forceful physical assault.

An investigation by the MCSO Domestic Violence unit revealed inconsistencies with her boyfriend, 33-year-old Ro V’s initial claim.

Va told MCSO that M had been attacked by unknown suspects in Sarasota.

According to deputies, surveillance footage showed M at the Golden Host Resort/Bahi Hut with no injuries upon arrival but captured a violent altercation between the two later that night.

Footage showed Vi forcibly dragging M back into their hotel after she attempted to flee, MCSO said.

Minutes later, M was seen visibly injured and unable to walk without help.

According to MCSO, cell phone data, license plate reader records, and video evidence confirmed the couple never visited the area where V claimed M was allegedly attacked.

No witnesses and evidence supported his account, and numerous inconsistencies further undermined his credibility, deputies said.

V was arrested Wednesday night and charged with second-degree murder.
