One person taken to hospital after Bellview house fire

Emergency crews responded to a house fire in Escambia County on Wednesday afternoon.

The fire happened at a two-story home on Indiana Avenue in Bellview around 2:40 p.m.

A WEAR News crew saw Escambia County Fire Rescue (ECFR) on scene working to get the situation under control.

All residents were out of the home when fire crews arrived said ECFR.

“Fire crews are working to extinguish any hotspots,” the county said.

According to ECFR, three patients received treatment from Escambia County EMS. One person was taken to a nearby hospital.

“The American Red Cross was notified to assist the displaced occupants,” said ECFR.

The incident will be investigated for arson. No further details are available.
