School bus carrying Centennial High students crashes into utility pole

A St. Lucie District Schools bus carrying Centennial High School students veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole in Port St. Lucie.

Officers with the Port St. Lucie Police Department said the bus was carrying several students when it left the roadway and hit the pole.

There are no reported injuries, according to the school district.

The incident remains active and ongoing, and police said information is limited and subject to change.

FPL has been contacted because of low-hanging power lines in the area. School security personnel are also on

scene and notifying parents and guardians.
