Woman driving wrong-way dies in head-on crash with pick-up truck on US 1:  Florida Highway Patrol 

 A 61-year-old woman who was driving the wrong way on U.S. 1 near I-95 Sunday night hit a pick-up truck head-on, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The woman died in the crash, which was reported around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

According to FHP, the woman was driving a white VW Passat the wrong way southbound in the right lane on U.S. 1, south of Interstate 95, when she collided head-on with a black Nissan Titan headed northbound.

The driver of the car died from her injuries. The 43-year-old man driving the pick-up suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
