A closed rollercoaster at Universal Studios caught on fire Friday morning.
According to NBC affiliate WESH, the fire happened on the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit coaster.
The Orlando Fire Department said it was a small fire on the coasater’s tracks.
The Rip Ride Rockit coaster first opened on Aug. 19, 2009, but was officially shut down on Aug. 17, 2025. It then began undergoing a demolition process.
It is not known what caused the fire at this time.
